Two long concrete floors reach over the rail cut and meet in the middle, where the staircase turns into a public square.
The site was a scar in the city: a deep cut for a railway that closed in the eighties. Instead of filling it, we let the building step across it, so the street on one side meets the park on the other.
The facade is cast on site in rough timber shuttering. Deep window reveals keep out the summer sun and pull in the low winter light, so most desks work without lamps until late afternoon.
Inside, the structure is left bare. Ceilings, stairs and benches are one material, warmed by oak floors and felt panels that keep the open rooms quiet.
The building was handed over in spring 2025 and is now home to three companies and a small public library on the ground floor.
